As a Global Talent Intern at IGT, I worked closely with the Vice President of Global Talent to support key initiatives in talent acquisition and internal communications. I led the creation of a LinkedIn employee spotlight campaign, showcasing unique career journeys to enhance digital recruitment efforts. Additionally, I conducted in-depth research on HR communication strategies, compiling comprehensive reports to guide the team’s approach. My role also involved drafting company-wide communications, from email announcements to internal articles, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across the organization. I had the opportunity to develop and present communication campaigns, including one focused on effectively conveying HR policies, further refining my ability to craft impactful narratives within a corporate setting.

Story Draft - IGT Award Finalist (IGT)
IGT was honored as one of the finalists in the Digital Pioneer category for this year’s SAP Quality Awards. The award ceremony was hosted last week at the Fabrique in Milan, Italy. SAP celebrates customer success and excellence in software implementations. This honor is the result of the complex and innovative technical implementation of SAP software solutions (SuccessFactors) and HR Systems technology development in partnership with Techedge Italia.
Lalli said “We are a gaming company, but we are also an IT company, building customer software for the internal use of the company. It is great that such a big vendor, like SAP, recognizes our efforts in innovation and excellence in the Digital Pioneer category” said Andrea Lalli, IGT Global HRIS Lead.
IGT is an early adopter of SAP solutions, “We are the first to introduce the covid vaccine tracking portlet as a solution offered by SAP.” Said Lalli. “This solution enables IGT to capture the population of vaccinated employees in preparation for governmental mandates,” said Curt Sheppard, People Apps Manager. “ Covid-19 was an unexpected problem affecting the global community, IGT successfully changed the landscape and implemented a solution through SAP standard practices.”
This award is a great way to recognize the dynamic work that occurs here at IGT and celebrate the People Apps team for their dedication and project excellence. Regardless of covid-19 and the harsh transition to remote work, for the last two years, the People Apps team has been producing a variety of complex work - from landscape simplification, increased automation level, to adopting SAP innovative solutions such as the covid portlet. Overall, the team works on projects that technologically improve the HR system.

IGT has been able to lead a global team in major projects fully remote, “We are proud and are capable” says Lalli. Congratulations, team IGT!
