Theory Wellness, located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, hopes to be positioned as the leader in the craft cannabis retail industry. Theory wellness focuses on high quality, hand trimmed cannabis at premium prices, though it has affordable options.
Theory Wellness offers discounts to patients with financial hardships. “If you’re on state health insurance, you qualify; if you’re on social security insurance, you qualify; if your income falls below certain categories, [we] can offer tiered discounts,” Pollock says.
Theory wellness first opened doors in Bridgewater, Mass. July 2017. The business constitutes of a cultivation facility, as well as medical and recreational dispensary locations who serve adults 21 and up, no medical card required. “Arrived at 9:30am on a Tuesday. 20 people in line. Store provided heaters to keep us toasty on a chilly morning. Nice touch!” said a satisfied costumer, “Theory was neat, bright, clean and well-lit. Budtenders all seemed engaged and enthusiastic. The line moved quickly, thanks to 8-10 registers open for service.” He continued.
To be positioned as a leader in the craft cannabis business, Theory Wellness recognizes they have to offer high quality and variety. “We’re obsessed with collecting data,” says CEO, Pollock. Theory Wellness has made gradual changes to nutrients, water temperature and growing environment when cultivating cannabis plants.
Theory Wellness is consumer centric, which is the main factor for a company’s success. Theory Wellness offers a variety of product categories such as pre-rolls, flowers, extracts, infusions, and more. Theory Wellness is expected to project annual sales of $6 million to $8 million in its first year.
Theory Wellness has over 50 employees, to whom they offer a number of benefits. “we offer solid health and dental benefits, paid time off, and an employee discount for patients that work on our team.” Says CEO, Brandon Pollock. According to Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission documents, Theory Wellness has incorporated a diversity plan in which the company states that it will hire “a diverse workforce that includes women, veterans, farmers, minorities, and individuals with past drug convictions.” The introduction of the cannabis retail location has made a positive impact within its community.
Since the legalization of marijuana in Massachusetts, Therapy Wellness has assured the community that the cannabis industry will create jobs, generated tax revenue, provide cannabis education for both the community and its employees. The company’s goal is to improvement the livelihood of patients, support those harmed by the war on drugs, and participate in the betterment of the community.
