INKHOUSE SURVEY SHOWS COVID-19 FORCED COMPANIES TO CHANGE THEIR MARKETING STRATEGY
Remote ways of work heightened the importance of cybersecurity marketers
Waltham, MA, Nov. 20, 2021 - With remote work becoming the new norm, cybersecurity plays an important role in ensuring the new virtual economy can operate safely and effectively. The Inkhouse security practice surveyed 20 Security Chief Marketing Officers(CMO) and marketing leaders in our network to analyze COVID-19’s impact on their marketing strategy.
Findings show that 100 percent of cybersecurity marketers surveyed said they have had to shift their overall annual marketing strategy in light of COVID-19. 86 percent of respondents took on a more empathetic tone in marketing communications, 29 percent adapted their tone be more direct, 29 percent philanthropic, and 24 percent expressed a greater sense of urgency in their marketing efforts.
